Bahrain to host DTAC 2019

Manama, Apr. 16 (BNA): Under the patronage of H.E. Shaikh Mohammed bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Minister of Oil, the Kingdom of Bahrain will host the District 20 Toastmasters Annual Conference “DTAC 2019”, during the period 26 – 27 April 2019 at The Diplomat Radisson Blu Hotel, under the slogan "Make Your Glory". With participation of VIPs, specialists, technicians and academics from all over the world, where the event is organised by Toastmasters International and supported by the National Oil and Gas Authority (NOGA). H.E.the Minister of Oil was delighted at selecting the Kingdom of Bahrain to host the annual conference, because of the Kingdom's good reputation in embracing various events and providing support and assistance to achieve the desired objectives. He Highly appreciated the efforts made by the organising committee in arranging and equipping this important event, wishing the conference every success. H.E. the Minister stressed the importance of these youth events aimed at the development of human cadres in several areas, most importantly communication and leadership. Pointing out that the Toastmasters program provides a positive educational environment stimulating to develop various skills such as speaking, listening, thinking and other skills that contribute to the promotion of self-confidence and self-fulfillment. Toastmasters International is a leading public speaking and leadership organization that aims to “empower individuals to become active spokespersons and leaders in society." In addition to organizing various programs specialized in leadership and communication for all groups of society, with the aim of developing their abilities and skills in various fields. More than 400 participants from around the world are expected to attend, where they will observe competitions in Arabic and English between the champions of all participating countries in four categories: assessment speeches, comic speeches, impromptu speeches and global speeches.
