Bahrain to host global antiquities conference

Manama, Mar. 13 (BNA): As part of the activities of Bahrain Spring of Culture2017, Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities (BACA) will organize the international conference on "Islamic antiquities from a global perspective" in Bahrain National Museum on April 11-14. Online registration for participants is available on BACA's official website: www.culture.gov.bh During the conference, Khamis Mosque will be opened for tourists and visitors as one of the leading Islamic sites in the Arabian Gulf region. Specialists, researchers interested in Islamic heritage from a global perspective are expected to attend the conference which will include the presentation of lectures, research studies and papers pertaining to significant archaeological sites in Muslim countries.
