Bahrain to host MECC

Manama, July 21 (BNA): Bahrain is set to host the 17th Middle East Corrosion Conference and Exhibition (MECC) from September 30 to October 3. Oil Minister Shaikh Mohammed bin Khalifa Al Khalifa will patronise the event which will be held at Bahrain International Exhibition and Convention Centre. It will be co-organised by Bahrain Society of Engineers and NACE International- Dhahran Saudi Arabia Section in coordination with the National Oil and Gas Authority (NOGA). The event will be sponsored by Saudi Aramco and more than 18 specialised companies. The Oil Minister extended heartfelt thanks and gratitude to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa for his constant keenness to provide all facilities for oil functions held in Bahrain to support to conference and exhibition tourism and the national economy, in general. He hailed the event, lauding continuous choice of Bahrain by the organising party to hold this series of conferences and allied exhibitions which stands as a proof of the good reputation enjoyed by the kingdom in the specialised conference and exhibition industry. The MECC has steadily expanded since its inception to become a globally leading conference in the area of corrosion management. The event proved to be an ever evolving platform with opportunities for industry leaders, corrosion engineers, science researchers, manufacturers, and service providers to exchange best practices, introduce innovative ideas, expand working network, and showcase products and services in corrosion prevention.
