Bahrain to host social work conference

Manama, Jul 6(BNA): The second International Conference for Social Work Excellence will be held on November 5-7, 2019 in the Kingdom of Bahrain. Fifteen countries will take part in the three-day event, supported by the Princess Seeta bint Abdulaziz Foundation for Social Work Excellence. Bahrain Voluntary Work Society Abdulaziz Rashid Al-Sindi said the conference will be organized under the patronage of Labour and Social Development Minister Jameel bin Mohammed Ali Humaidan. The event will be attended by government officials in charge of social work, non-government representations and other participants from several countries in the world. Princess Seeta bint Abdulaziz Foundation for Social Work Excellence Award Secretary-General Dr. Fahd bin Hamad Al-Maghlouth said that the 2019 edition would build on the success of the previous conference which was hed last year. He said that the Princess Seeta bint Abdulaziz Foundation for Social Work Excellence decided to sponsor the second edition, in a bid to continue supporting social work and developing institutions and providing required training. Dr. Al-Maghlouth hailed fruitful cooperation with the Bahrain Voluntary Work Society which played a crucial role in promoting social work.
