Bahrain-India cooperation reviewed

Manama, Mar. 12 (BNA): Labour and Social Development Minister Jameel Mohammed Humaidan today received India's Ambassador to Bahrain, Alok Kumar Sinha. They reviewed the cooperation ties and means of boosting these ties especially pertaining to labour and development. The minister praised the bilateral ties in various fields and the coordination at various international conferences, also praising the positive role of the Indian community in the kingdom's development. The ambassador praised the amicable bilateral ties in various fields, especially noting the welfare afforded by the ministry to the Indian community as well as the Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA)'s protection of expatriate workers thanks to the enforcement of progressive national labour legislations commensurate with international standards.
