Bahrain International Air Show kicks off

Manama, Nov. 14 (BNA): On behalf of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, Personal Representative of His Majesty the King and Chairman of the High Organising Committee of Bahrain International Air Show (BIAS) Shaikh Abdullah bin Hamad Al Khalifa opened today the 5th edition of BIAS at Sakhir Air Base. The opening was attended by senior civil and military officials and guests. Shaikh Abdullah extended heartfelt thanks and gratitude to HM the King for his patronage and unlimited support to the exhibition, stressing the great success of the event since its inception. He lauded the royal directives, describing them as an incentive to boost success of the show and project it worldwide. He added that BIAS reflects the kingdom's capabilities and experience in the exhibition industry as it brings together and elite from the international aviation sector to hold commercial deals and explore opportunities for individuals and companies. Shaikh Abdullah thanked Transportation and Telecommunication Minister and Deputy Chairman of BIAS High Organising Committee Eng. Kamal bin Ahmed for his distinguished efforts to ensure success of the exhibition. He also thanked all organisers of the show, lauding good organisation of the event.
