Bahrain keen on international standard infrastructure

Manama, Oct. 5 (BNA): Works Affairs Undersecretary Ahmed Abdulaziz Al Khayyat said the ministry is working to fulfill the objectives of the Bahrain Economic Vision 2030. "The ministry efforts directly complement the vision in relation to constructing an international standard infrastructure that enhances the investment environment in Bahrain and links it to global economy," he said. "This, naturally, entails the government to contribute to this national mission, which is based on sustainability, competitiveness and justice. The first Government Forum that was recently held is a promise of a new era of distinction and integrated services for all citizens." He lauded HRH the Prime Minister’s sponsorship to the forum and the presentation delivered by HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa. Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister, which underlined the features of the upcoming development phase and reiterated the importance of challenge and achievement for further accomplishment. The ministry constantly reviews their strategic plan and puts in place operational objectives, programmes and initiatives that go in line with the 2030 Vision and contribute to accomplishing those objectives, he said. "The Works Sector of the Ministry will take into account all aspects highlighted in the forum and will treat them as priorities in all sectors. The partnership with the private sector will contribute positively to this national mission and will support creativity, competitiveness and excellence; in line with HRH the Crown Prince’s directives," he said.
