Bahrain model of coexistence, civil peace, says Shura Chairman

Manama, Oct. 21 (BNA): Shura Council Chairman Ali bin Saleh Al Saleh affirmed that the Kingdom of Bahrain represents a distinguished model of coexistence, tolerance and civil peace by embracing various religions and doctrines throughout its glorious history. He stressed the deep-rooted social culture of respecting religious freedom and promoting humanitarian values which are enshrined in the National Action Charter and the constitution. The Shura Council Chairman was speaking as he received National Evangelical Church Pastor and Head of Al Bayareq Al-Baidha Society, Rev. Hani Aziz. He emphasised the key role played by the national societies in fostering rapprochement, harmony, peace, understanding and co-existence among all social components. Rev. Hani Aziz hailed the big role of the Shura Council in supporting the efforts aimed at boosting tolerance and co-existence among all people in Bahrain.
