Bahrain National Museum lecture series continues

Manama, Sept. 13 (BNA): Professor Robert Carter from the British archeological mission to Bahrain will speak on Wednesday about the historical archaeology along the Pearling Path site in Muharraq.
The lecture, part of the Bahrain National Museum lectures series, will shed light on the archaeological excavations undertaken by the Archeology Directorate and Oxford Brookes University at Suq Qayseriyyah and its surroundings, and at Bu Maher Fort, which revealed important properties for the Pearling Path site, inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage list in 2012.
The lecture will be at 5:00 pm via Zoom, and the public can register to attend it by filling in the form on the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities’ website (www.culture.gov.bh).
The lectures series will continue on September 22 with researcher Mustafa Salman of the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities (BACA) team who will highlight the results of the excavations in an ancient mound located in Abdullah Juma’s farm in Maqabah.
The series will conclude on September 29 with Dr. Masashi Abe, of the Japanese archaeological mission, who will talk about the archaeological project being carried out in Wadi Al Sail.
