Bahrain Olympic Committee calls for the immediate release of champion Sami Al Haddad

Manama, Jan.10 (BNA): Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) expressed its deep condemnation and regret following the Qatari Coast Guard's unlawful arrest of bodybuilding champion and BOC Ambassador Sami Al-Haddad, while on a fishing trip with a number of his friends inside Bahrain’s territorial waters. It called on the Qatari authorities to immediately release citizen Sami Al-Haddad and his companions, and to stop these unacceptable transgressions, which represent a flagrant violation of international charters and laws.
