Bahrain-Pakistan cooperation discussed

Islamabad, Apr. 10(BNA): National Guard Director of Staff Major-General Shaikh Abdulaziz bin Saud Al-Khalifa met General Zubair Mahmood Hayat, Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee of the Pakistan Armed Forces, in the city of Rawalpindi. The visit features on the agenda of the Joint Committee tasked to coordinate training, exchange expertise and bolster military relations between the National Guard and the Pakistani Army. Maj-Gen. Shaikh Abdulaziz bin Saud Al-Khalifa congratulated the Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee marking his country’s National Day festivities, which were attended recently by National Guard Commander General His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Isa Al-Khalifa. He hailed the strides achieved the Pakistani Army, as well as its crucial role in supporting regional security and stability. The two sides discussed key issues of mutual interest, as well as means of consolidating cooperation. Aspects of cooperation between the National Guard and the Pakistani army were also discussed.
