Bahrain, Palestine discuss reinforcing cultural cooperation

Manama, Apr. 12 (BNA): President of Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities (BACA), Shaikha Mai bint Mohammed Al Khalifa, today discussed with Palestinian Minister of Culture, Ihab Bseiso, ways to boost cultural cooperation. BACA President attached great importance to promoting intellectual and cultural communication among Arab nation, noting the many common cultural grounds between Bahrain and Palestine. She lauded the Palestinian cultural presence at the local level attributed to the constructive cooperation between the BACA and Palestine's Embassy in Bahrain. The two sides discussed enhancing cooperation and exchange of expertise in the management of heritage sites, as well as the future cultural exchange. They agreed that Bahrain to attend Palestine International Book Fair 2018 to be held in Ramallah, and Palestine to attend the Bahrain International Book Fair 2018 to coincide with celebrating Muharraq, the capital of Islamic culture 2018. The Palestinian Minister praised the BACA's efforts in building bridges of communication with Arab countries, looking forward to further strengthening cultural cooperation with Bahrain. The minister is on a visit to Bahrain at the invitation of Shaikh Ibrahim Culture and Research Center.
