Bahrain participates in 48th Arab Labor Conference

Cairo, Sept. 18 (BNA): Labor Minister Jameel bin Mohammed Ali Humaidan headed Bahrain's delegation in the 48th Arab Labor Conference's sessions in Cairo. The conference was held under the patronage of President Abdul Fattah Al Sisi, on September 18-26. The current session of the conference is discussing issues related to fields of work in the Arab world aiming to set common goals and visions and charting the strategic course for the work of the Arab Labor Organization (ALO). The session discussed a number of topics in ALO Director-General's report, including the digital economy and employment issues, artificial intelligence and new work patterns, and a report on "the digitization and governance of social protection systems." The minister affirmed that Bahrain's participation confirms the government's support of the joint Arab cooperation to resolve challenges facing Arab labor markets.
