Bahrain participates in a conference for peace

Cairo, Oct. 18 (BNA): Board of Trustees Chairman of The King Hamad Global Centre for Peaceful Coexistence Dr. Shaikh Khalid bin Khalifa Al Khalifa participated in a high-level international Conference entitled "Tolerance, Peace and Sustainable Development in the Arab World". The event was organized by the Global Council for Tolerance and Peace and The League of Arab States. Dr. Shaikh Khalid stressed that Bahrain has a solid legislative and legal structure that encourages tolerance and coexistence from the ancient time until now. This structure was not limited to criminal law only, but also to administrative laws, media, children, family, women and motherhood, labor laws and others, which shows Bahrain keenness to spread peace and coexistence. He said that building up the King Hamad Global Centre for Peaceful Coexistence is an important step in this journey for peace. The chairman advised the Arab countries to improve the educational curriculum to create a generation that holds the principles of peace, tolerance, and accepting the other.
