Bahrain participates in Maldives Partnership Forum

Manama, June 20 (BNA): Bahrain has participated in the Maldives Partnership Forum, opened by President of the Republic, Ibrahim Mohamed Solih, in the presence New Delhi-based Ambassador to the country, Abdulrahman Mohammed Al-Qaud. The ambassador praised the efforts exerted by Maldives’ Government to develop its economy and affirmed Bahrain’s support for its steady steps to boost its economy and attract investments. The government introduced their policies that target foreign investments and protection of the rights of foreign investors in order to create a sustainably attractive environment for such investments. The forum was also attended by Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Egypt, Morocco, the United Kingdom, Germany, Russia, China and others. Foreign Affairs Minister of Maldives, Abdullah Shahid, met Ambassador Al-Qaud who conveyed to him the greetings of the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa. He also met the Finance Minister, Ibrahim Amir, and reviewed bilateral cooperation relations and how to propel them to wider levels to meet the aspirations of the two friendly countries and peoples.
