Bahrain participates in WHO working meeting

Geneva, Sept. 18 (BNA): Shaikha Hala bint Mohammed Al Khalifa, Director-General of Culture and Art at Bahrain Culture and Antiquities Authority (BACA), invited by the World Health Organisation (WHO), has participated in a working meeting along with other experts in the field of culture and museums hailing from around the world, to exchange views and ideas to prepare for establishment of a special WHO Museum. This participation comes to affirm the role of culture in maintaining the history of institutions and organization for their positive role in the society, as the World Health Organisation celebrates more than seventy years of its humanitarian accomplishments, which contributed in raising health awareness among the world's various communities, Shaikha Hala said. Bahrain is not far from the scene, as the first nurse training school was established in 1959, placing Bahrain among the most advanced nations in the sector of health in addition to other sectors witnessing spectacular flourishing over a century or so, Shaikha Hala added. The meeting which began Monday, September 17 includes intensive discussion sessions and presentations that reflect the participants' experiences so as to reach a clear vision to achieve this unique project of its type.
