Bahrain pays tribute to Saudi leader

Manama, Dec. 7 (BNA): A tribute was paid to Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud marking his historic visit to the Kingdom of Bahrain. Information Affairs Minister Ali bin Mohammed Al-Romaihi saluted the Saudi leader, hailing deep-rooted fraternal relations, which are based on mutual respect, shared religious, cultural and geographic ties, kinship and common destiny. In a statement to Saudi Press Agency, he stressed the crucial importance of the summit between His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa and Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud. He hailed strong bilateral relations, underlining joint keenness on bolstering cooperation and outstanding political, defence, security, economic, social, cultural and media partnership. The Kingdom of Bahrain, he said, will not forget honourable and fraternal Saudi stances in support of its security and stability as it confronts the scourge of terrorism and strives to deter external threats, highlighting development and economic assistance. The minister underlined the unified stances adopted by the two countries regarding the consolidation of the GCC march, within the framework of the Saudi King's vision which was endorsed by the Arabian Gulf leaders. He highlighted shared keenness on backing Arab and Islamic causes, particularly the Palestinian issue, and supporting the security, stability and unity of Arab countries. Al-Romaihi commended the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for leading the Arab and Islamic alliance to maintain security and defend legitimacy in Yemen, protect national pan-Arab security, deter blatant foreign interference and combat terrorist and extremist organisations. He hailed the keynote speech which was delivered by the Saudi leader at the 37th GCC Summit, lauding his keenness on strengthening the pillars of regional security and stability.
