Bahrain praises Egypt's counter-terrorism efforts

Manama, Apr.15 (BNA): The Kingdom of Bahrain affirmed its constant support to Egypt in all measures taken to fight terrorism and deter attempts to undermine its security and stability. It reiterated Egypt’s strategic role in enhancing Arab national security and maintaining security and peace in the region. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs commended the great efforts of the Egyptian security forces in combating violence, extremism and terrorism and eliminating the terrorist cell in a neighbourhood in Cairo, which was planning to carry out terrorist acts during the Copts' celebration of Easter. It extended sincere condolences to the Egyptian leadership, government and people as well as the families of the Egyptian security martyrs, wishing a speedy recovery for the injured. The ministry reasserted the Kingdom of Bahrain’s stance rejecting all forms of violence, extremism and terrorism, stressing the necessity of concerted international efforts to deter terrorist groups and all those who support and fund them.
