Bahrain Red Crescent Society’s efforts hailed

Manama, May 27 (BNA): The Bahrain Red Crescent Society(BRCS) hosted its annual gathering at the Diplomat Hotel in honour of its members marking the holy month of Ramadan. Deputy Premier, BRCS chairman Shaikh Khalid bin Abdulla Al-Khalifa attended the event, in the presence of board and executive members and volunteers. He congratulated the attendees on the holy month of Ramadan, underlining the BRCS efforts, reaching out to more than 4000 needy families in seventy-three areas across Bahrain’s towns and villages. He hailed BRCS achievements over the past five decades, since its establishment in early 1970s, providing relief and humanitarian assistance in more than thirty countries worldwide. “The Bahrain Red Crescent Society contributed, over the past decades, to building schools and hospitals and dispatching emergency relief and humanitarian air abroad”, he said. Deputy Premier Shaikh Khalid bin Abdulla Al-Khalifa was elected unopposed last February as chairman of the Bahrain Red Crescent Society. Ali Mohammed Murad, Khalil Mohammed Al-Merrikhi, Dr. Fawzi Abdulla Amine, Taqi Mohammed Al-Baharna, Faisal Radhi Al-Mousawi, Hassan Ali Juma Mohammed Jumaa, Dr. Mariam Ibrahim Al-Herms Sl-Hajri and Dr. Kawther Mohammed Al-Eid are the board members.
