Bahrain, UAE discuss environmental cooperation

Manama, Mar. 6 (BNA): Special Envoy for Climate Affairs and Chief Executive Officer of the Supreme Council for Environment (SCE), Dr. Mohammed bin Mubarak bin Daina, held a coordination meeting with the Director-General of the Al Ain Zoo and Aquarium Public Institution, Ghanim Mubarak Al Hajeri. During the virtual meeting, the two sides discussed the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on enhancing cooperation and exchanging expertise. Dr. Bin Daina said that the MoU will contribute to achieving more progress in environmental issue, as well as exchanging information and successful experiences in several areas, including mangrove plantation, fish farming, in addition to wildlife and aquariums. Ghanim Al Hajeri lauded the depth of the strong fraternal relations between the two countries, stressing the pride of the Zoo and Aquarium Public Institution in the SCE’s efforts, initiatives and projects. He expressed hope that the two sides will achieve more cooperation and coordination through the MoU, which, he said, represents an effective step towards upgrading environmental work and developing wildlife and aquariums.
