Bahrain, UAE foreign ministers discuss bilateral ties, cooperation

Manama, Sept. 20 (BNA): Minister of Foreign Affairs Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani and UAE Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Shaikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan discussed relations between the two countries and affirmed shared keenness to enhance them. They also reviewed in a phone conversation the efforts exerted to strengthen cooperation and coordination on several issues. Al Zayani hailed the UAE’s contributions to reinforcing human rights, resulting in its prominent status, and noted the role of the UAE in promoting development, security and peace in the region. He wished the UAE continued progress and prosperity. The two ministers also discussed several issues of common interest.
