Bahrain-UK educational cooperation explored

Manama, Oct. 25 (BNA) Education Minister Dr. Majid bin Ali Al Nuaimi received UK Ambassador to Bahrain, Simon Martin, and British Council’s Director-General Richard Rose. The minister informed them about the ministry’s developmental plan for education and higher education. The meeting explored Al-Hidayah Al-Khalifia University anticipated hosting of academic programmes from British universities and steps to be taken in this regard. The meeting also explored the cooperation between the Ministry of Education (MoE) and the British Council in teaching English language in the Bahrain Teachers’ College. They also discussed teacher training in the various stages of schooling on latest pedagogies in collaboration with the ministry’s Vocational Training & Development Directorate in addition to upgrading the English language curriculums.
