Bahrain-UK financial, economic cooperation discussed

Manama, Feb. 11 (BNA): Minister of Finance and National Economy, Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, has underlined strong historical relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the United Kingdom which positively reflected on many sectors, including mainly the financial and economic ones. He pointed out bilateral partnership in various areas, stressing the need to continue boosting bilateral relations for the best interest of the two friendly countries and peoples. The Minister of Finance and National Economy was speaking during a meeting today with HM Queen Elizabeth II’s Trade Commissioner for the Middle East, Simon Penney. The meeting was attended by the UK’s Ambassador to the Kingdom of Bahrain, Roderick Drummond. The Minister of Finance and National Economy praised growing relations between both countries and common keenness to promote economic, investment and trade partnership to create more promising opportunities. The meeting also spotlighted ways of bolstering bilateral cooperation in the financial and economic field to achieve the aspirations of the two friendly countries and peoples. It also shed light on the latest global economic developments.
