Bahrain-US cooperation in oil, environment field discussed

Sharm El-Sheikh, Nov. 16 (BNA): Minister of Oil and Environment, Special Envoy for Climate Affairs, Dr. Mohammed bin Mubarak bin Daina, met with Brad Crabtree, the Assistant Secretary for the Office of Fossil Energy and Carbon Management, US Department of Energy, to discuss ways of boosting cooperation in the oil and environment field. The meeting was held on the sidelines of the 27th Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP27), which is held in Sharm El-Sheikh. The Minister of Oil and Environment welcomed the US official, praising the solid partnership between Bahrain and the USA. He underlined the importance of the meetings with the competent parties in the energy field to avail of their experiences and provide investment opportunities for the benefit of all. Mr. Brad Crabtree reviewed the department’s present and future programmes and projects and discussed a number of issues pertaining to the oil and environment field. He expressed thanks and appreciation to Dr. bin Daina for the gracious welcome, commending the outcome of the meeting and the steady growth of the energy and environment sector in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
