Bahrain-US environmental cooperation discussed

Manama, Feb. 18 (BNA): Special Envoy for Climate Affairs, Chief Executive of the Supreme Council for Environment (SCE), Dr. Mohammed bin Mubarak bin Dainah, received today the US embassy Charge D’Affaires, Magaret Nardi, and the official responsible for the environment, sciences, technology and health. Dr. bin Dainah praised the role of the US embassy in boosting relations between the two friendly countries, stressing the role of the USA in enhancing the international efforts to curb climate change. Discussions also focused on issues of common interest and ways of bolstering bilateral cooperation in protecting the environment and improving the climate. The US embassy Charge d’Affaires congratulated Dr. bin Dainah on the royal trust in appointing him as Special Envoy for Climate Affairs, praising the efforts of SCE in protecting the environment.
