Bahrain-US ties will continue to grow

Manama, Jan. 29 (BNA): Foreign Affairs Minister Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa today reemphasized that the Kingdom of Bahrain pays special attention to its strong ties with the United States of America and looks forward to a new phase marked by more progress and prosperity. This came as the Minister of Foreign Affairs received US Ambassador to Bahrain, William V. Roebuck. The minister expressed his faith that the ties between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the United States of America will further develop in cooperation with the new US administration led by President Donald Trump affirming that these relations will consolidate the countries’ shared interests in ensuring peace and stability in the region. The minister said the United States is in the best position to identify mechanisms and procedures to combat terrorism, protect its citizens and ensure its national security in the face of global terrorism. Ambassador Roebuck expressed his pride in the strength of the relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the United States of America, affirming his country’s commitment to further developing these ties and wishing the Kingdom of Bahrain continued progress and prosperity.
