Bahrain welcomes peace agreement between Sudanese Government, armed movements

Manama, Oct. 3 (BNA): Bahrain has welcomed the signing of the peace agreement between the government of the Republic of Sudan and a number of armed movements that took place today in the city of Juba in the Republic of South Sudan. In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs praised “this important step that would contribute to ending military conflicts and achieving security and stability in the brotherly Republic of Sudan.” “The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expresses its appreciation for the role and efforts of the Republic of South Sudan which resulted in reaching the agreement. It also reaffirms the support of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the Republic of Sudan to achieve security and peace in all Sudanese territories and ensure the prosperity of the Sudanese people,” the statement added.
