Bahrain welcomes the US targeting of Al-Qaeda terrorist organization leader

Manama, Aug. 2 (BNA): The Kingdom of Bahrain welcomed the announcement by United States President Joseph Biden, regarding the targeting and killing of Ayman Al-Zawahiri, leader of the Al-Qaeda terrorist organization. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs praised the prominent role of the United States of America in combating terrorism and confronting such organizations. It reiterated Bahrain's firm stance rejecting all forms of violence, extremism and terrorism, urging the international community to join forces and intensify efforts to eradicate terrorism, dry up its sources of funding and prosecute its leaders and criminal elements.
