Bahraini ambassador-designate to Egypt receives book copy

Cairo, Feb. 16 (BNA): Ambassador-Designate of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the Arab Republic of Egypt and the Kingdom’s Permanent Representative to the Arab League, Hisham bin Mohammed Al Jowder, received in his office today first Bahraini Ambassador to Egypt and former Permanent Representative to the Arab League Taqi Al Baharna who presented him with a copy of his book documenting his experience as the first Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain in Cairo from 1971 to 1974. Ambassador Hisham bin Mohammed Al Jowder praised the experience of Taqi Al Baharna as the first Bahraini Ambassador to Egypt and his prominent role in establishing the kingdom’s first embassy in Cairo. He also commended his role as the representative and head of the first Bahraini mission to the Arab League, being a witness to the march of Bahraini diplomacy in its celebrations of its golden jubilee. For his part, Mr. Taqi Al Baharna congratulated Mr. Hisham bin Mohammad Al Jowder on the royal trust in appointing him as Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the Arab Republic of Egypt, wishing him all success in his duties. Mr. Taqi Al Baharna expressed pride in receiving the First Class Medal of Shaikh Isa by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa in 2001, and the State Recognition Award for National Action from the Prime Minister, His Royal Highness Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, in 1992, and The Order of Merit-first class, by late President of the Arab Republic of Egypt, Anwar Sadat, in 1973.
