Bahraini Ambassador to Japan meets with JBECA Chairman

Tokyo, Dec. 14 (BNA): Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to Japan, Ahmed Mohammed Al-Doseri, met at his residence in the Japanese capital, Tokyo, with Chairman of the Japanese-Bahraini Economic Cooperation Association (JBECA), Masayuki Sato, In the presence of members of the association, During the meeting, the Bahraini ambassador praised the association’s role in promoting economic and trade relations between Bahrain and Japan, stressing the importance of advancing trade and investment cooperation between the two friendly countries. He also reviewed the economic recovery plan recently announced by the Cabinet, noting that the plan seeks to continue promoting economic growth and the Kingdom's non-oil sectors, in addition to encouraging foreign investments to play a greater role in the economic development process. The Bahraini ambassador highlighted the investment opportunities in the kingdom as well as major development projects within the priorities of the economic recovery plan such as the Bahrain Metro project, the Bahrain Sports City, and the aluminium manufacturing project. The ambassador also reviewed some of the future projects that include planning and building five new cities. For his part, Masayuki Sato expressed thanks and appreciation to the ambassador for the support given to the association by the embassy and the Office of the Economic Development Board in Tokyo. He stressed the interest of the Japanese companies in participating in the economic growth of the Kingdom of Bahrain, in particular, and the countries of the region in general.
