Bahraini Ambassador meets UK’s FCDO Minister for Asia and the Middle East

London, May 24 (BNA): The Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to London, Shaikh Fawaz bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, met the Minister for Asia and the Middle East at the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) in the United Kingdom, Amanda Milling. During the meeting, the two sides reviewed ways to enhance the relations of cooperation and the close historical and strategic partnership between the two friendly kingdoms and the prospects for diplomatic coordination, in a way that contributes to enhancing security and stability and supporting the process of development, progress and prosperity in both countries. They also discussed a number of regional and international topics and issues of common interest. Amanda Milling praised the visit of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, to London, and his meeting with Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. She also commended the outstanding results achieved by the Royal Endurance Team, captained by HM the King’s Representative for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, at Royal Windsor Horse Show, coinciding with the platinum jubilee celebrations of the 70th anniversary of Her Majesty the Queen’s Accession to the Throne.
