Bahraini-Bruneian relations discussed

Manama, Dec. 12 (BNA): The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, today met in his office at the Ministry's General Court, Brunei Darussalam Second Minister of Foreign Affairs Dato Erywan Pehin Yusof. Shaikh Khalid welcomed him, lauding strong bilateral relations of friendship and their perpetual growth at all levels. He stressed Bahrain's keenness to further boost cooperation with Brunei Darussalam in various fields to meet the aspirations of the two brotherly countries and peoples. The Minister of Foreign Affairs also expressed pride in the Kingdom of Bahrain's accession to the Treaty of Amity and Cooperation in Southeast Asia, which reflects the Kingdom's keenness to strengthen relations with ASEAN to serve common interests. In his turn, Dato Erywan Pehin Yusof voiced happiness over meeting Shaikh Khalid, praising distinguished bilateral ties and his country's keenness to enhance consultation and joint coordination in various fields. He wished the Kingdom of Bahrain more progress and prosperity. Both sides also exchanged views on the latest regional and international developments. (MOFA)
