Bahraini inventor wins two prizes at SIIF2018

Manama, Dec. 10 (BNA): Adnan Mahmoud Al Shaikh has won two prizes in Seoul International Invention Fair (SIIF2018) for his invention showcased as part of the Gulf Patent Office pavillion. He invented a medical apparatus intended to assist patients diagnosed with osteoarthritis and knee orthosis to enable them to walk conveniently and painlessly. Alaa Abdulraheem, Founder and CEO of the Bahrain-based Butterfly Technology dedicated the international honours to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, HRH Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa the Prime Minister, HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister and HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Chairman of the Supreme Council of Youth and Sports for their support tremendous support to inventors to manufacture world-class products. She extended special thanks to the Economic Development Board (EDB), Tamkeen (the Labour Fund), the Ministry of Youth and Sports, Bahrain Development Bank (BDB), for their effective and valuable efforts in supporting the inventors and their organisation’s progress.
