Bahraini-Japanese relations discussed

Manama, Dec. 15 (BNA): On behalf of His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, Deputy Premier Shaikh Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa received today Japanese Ambassador to Bahrain Kiyoshi Asako and discussed with him outstanding bilateral relations and ways of bolstering them. The Deputy Prime Minister underlined strong ties binding the two friendly countries which are based on mutual respect and understanding regarding regional and international issues. He also lauded growing bilateral relations in light of common keenness to open up new horizons of cooperation that meet joint aspirations. He congratulated the Japanese ambassador on the 83rd birthday anniversary of Emperor Akihito of Japan, wishing Japan further progress and prosperity. The Japanese ambassador extended thanks to HRH the Prime Minister for his keenness to promote bilateral relations, praising relations of friendship and cooperation between both countries.
