Bahraini press achievements hailed

Amman, Mar. 29 (BNA): His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa today at the King Hussein Bin Talal Convention Centre received editors-in-chief of local newspapers and Acting Director-General of Bahrain News Agency (BNA) on the sidelines of the 28th Arab Summit being held in Amman, Jordan.
HM the King took pride in the Bahraini press and its key role in promoting the national march, bolstering the national spirit and protecting the national interests.
HM the King paid tribute to the national press achievements and transparency and credibility enjoyed. He pointed out its efforts in accentuating Bahrain's development and civilizational gains and achievements.
HM the King stressed resolve to constantly defend the freedom of opinion and expression which is a key factor contributing to the success of the national press. He stressed that Bahrain is home to everyone, calling for focusing on national issues and highlighting national unity.
HM the King touched on Bahrain's outstanding development achievements made by national efforts in various fields.
HM the King pointed out the significance of holding the Arab Summit at the current stage that requires unifying efforts and action to address all challenges and threats.
HM the King noted the participation of a large number of Arab leaders in the Summit, parsing the great efforts of HM King Abdullah II of Jordan in making the Summits meetings successful, appreciating Jordan's warm welcome and hospitality.
HM the King underlined support for Arab initiatives aimed at promoting Arab unity and maintaining regional security and stability.
The editors-in-chief and BNA's Acting Director-General expressed utmost appreciation of HM the King's support that has vastly contributed to the development of Bahraini press, vowing to continue the development of Bahraini press march.
