Bahraini women's key role in development stressed

Manama, Mar. 7 (BNA): Representatives Council Speaker Fawzia Zainal affirmed that Bahraini women have always set an outstanding model in achievement and dedication. She pointed out their high competence, sense of responsibility and remarkable contribution to the kingdom's sustainable development march spearheaded by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa. She added that at a time the world celebrates the International Women's Day, which is observed on March 8th, the democratic march in Bahrain makes big strides in women's advancement and distinction after decades of honourable work and strenuous efforts. The Representatives Council Speaker paid tribute to Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, Wife of His Majesty the King and President of the Supreme Council for Women (SCW), for her remarkable role in women's empowerment which yielded many national achievements and granted Bahraini women promising opportunities to prove their worth and capabilities. She affirmed the Representatives Council's resolve to continue serving the supreme national interest and supporting all programmes and initiatives aimed at empowering women and enhancing their national role.
