Bahrain's efforts to foster global peace, security stressed

Manama, Feb. 11 (BNA): His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa underscored the need of the world and the Middle East for peace. He pointed out that cooperation and coordination are the best way to end crises and conflicts from which the Middle East has suffered a lot. He noted that the region needs concerted efforts to remain secure and stable and ensure a better future for the countries and posterity.
HRH the Premier was speaking as he receives at Gudaibiyah Palace today former US Ambassador to Bahrain and member of the Middle East Policy Council Ronald Neumann, council Chairman Richard Schmierer and Executive Director Dr. Thomas R. Mattair. He hailed the delegation's visit to Bahrain, lauding the council's efforts to boost common understanding of issues related to regional security and stability. He underlined the key role played by research centres to foster understanding and communication between people and build a collective global vision on regional and international challenges mainly in the political, economic and social fields. He pointed out the need for joint cooperation to promote global security and stability as a pre-requisite to ensure sustainable development.
HRH the Prime Minister discussed the latest regional and international developments, stressing Bahrain's efforts to back the international community in enhancing global security and stability.
Ronald Neumann expressed heartfelt thanks and respect to HRH the Premier for his unrelenting efforts to foster peace and stability in the world and the Middle East. He lauded the policies adopted by Bahrain to consolidate international cooperation in the security field.
