Bahrain's efforts to promote peaceful coexistence stressed

Washington, July 22 (BNA): On the sidelines of its participation in the Ministerial to Advance Religious Freedom, in Washington, the King Hamad Global Centre for Peaceful Coexistence organised a dinner ceremony in Washington, in the presence of Bahraini Ambassador to the USA Shaikh Abdullah bin Rashid Al Khalifa, an elite of political decision makers, representatives of the civil society institutions, religious scholars from the USA and abroad, media persons and journalists. The audience was briefed about the centre’s goals which emanate from the vision of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa to promote the Bahraini experience in peaceful coexistence. Tolerance and coexistence, which have ever characterised the Bahraini society, were also brought under the spotlight, while stressing the comprehensive development march spearheaded by HM the King and the farsighted royal vision to foster noble values through legislation and international projects addressed to the youth across the world. The King Hamad Global Centre for Peaceful Coexistence Board of Trustees Chairman Dr. Shaikh Khalid bin Khalifa Al Khalifa stressed Bahrain’s endeavour to promote the enlightened thought of HM the King concerning the importance of projecting the Bahraini experience in peaceful coexistence worldwide. He praised the wise leadership of HM the King and fair laws which made rights and opportunities equal to all citizens regardless of gender, ethnicity and faiths. He described HM the King’s address to the world through the Kingdom of Bahrain Declaration as oriented to all mankind, pointing out the importance given to it by all amid surging religious and ethnic hatred.
