Bahrain's Electricity Minister receives BIBF delegation

Manama, Dec.30 (BNA): Electricity and Water Affairs Minister Dr. Abdulhussain Mirza received Director General of the Bahrain Institute for Banking and Finance Dr. Ahmed Abdul Hamid Al Shaikh, who was accompanied by officials specialized in the fields of banking, finance and administration and others. The two sides discussed means of enhancing existing cooperation between the institute and the electricity, water and renewable energy sectors. The minister was briefed on the plan of the institute to install the solar energy systems on their new building and contributing to achieving national goals related to energy efficiency and rationalization of consumption. They also discussed technical and engineering matters with officials of the Sustainable Energy Unit. The minister was briefed on the specialized programmes, courses and workshops provided by the Institute for this sector. Dr. Al-Sheikh and the accompanying delegation thanked the minister and officials for the warm reception and hospitality and hoped ties between the two sides would be further strengthened.
