Bahrain's FM receives US-DOS counterterrorism coordinator

Manama, Nov. 8 (BNA): Foreign Affairs Minister Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa today received US Department of State (US-DOS) Counterterrorism Coordinator, Nathan Sales. The minister welcomed Ambassador Nathan Sales, stressing the depth of historical ties between Bahrain and the United States, based on mutual respect and trust and strategic alliance. He praised the high level of friendly relations at all levels and commended. joint action to move with all areas of bilateral cooperation to wider horizons in various fields. Shaikh Khalid praised the great role and continuous efforts of the United States of America in strengthening the security and stability of the region and the world. He hailed the US strategic initiatives regarding war on terrorism of all forms and valued its keenness to strengthen international cooperation toward total elimination of this scourge that puts all world countries at stake. The minister appreciated these efforts and vowed full support for such endeavors aimed at the security and stability of the countries and peoples of the region. Ambassador Sales expressed his pride and appreciation of the fast-paced progress of the two countries’ relations. He praised the efforts of the Kingdom of Bahrain in combating terrorism and wished it more progress and prosperity.
