Bahrain's human rights strides hailed

Cairo, Jan. 29 (BNA): Arab Parliament Speaker Dr. Mishaal bin Fahm Al Salami has praised Bahrain’s human rights strides led by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the efforts in boosting human rights protection nationally, in the Arab region and globally as well. The Arab Speaker hailed the Kingdom’s efforts as the world’s leading role model for interfaith tolerance and coexistence among the various denominations, winning the international community’s confidence and supporting Bahrain's election as a member of the UN-affiliated Human Rights Council (UNHRC). Al Salami said the resounding "yes" vote by 165 members reflects their tremendous appreciation of Bahrain’s efforts in consolidating human rights and enforcement of international human rights conventions.
