Bahrain's human rights strides hailed

Manama, Dec. 8 (BNA): The Shura Council hailed Bahrain’s successful human rights achievements and religious freedoms commensurate with the reforms approach of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and respecting the lofty values and principles of human rights as the pillars of the nation's progress and development.
The Shura Council praised the government’s performance led by His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister, lauding the role of its national strategies and plans in boosting democracy and human rights and making Bahrain the ideal model and attainment of advanced levels in the application of regulations and mechanisms aimed to ensure rights in diverse forms and manifestations.
Celebrating the international Human Rights Day this year themed “Youth Standing Up for Human Rights” the council confirmed that the Bahraini youth have become more enlightened and open to the values and principles of human rights and believe in their key role in promoting these lofty values and principles.
The council stressed it will continue to activate its national role in the enactment of legislations and modification of applicable laws to ensure Bahrain’s constantly continue its respecting of human rights in sure and strong strides.
