Bahrain's Interior Minister congratulated on international award

Manama, Dec. 1 (BNA): President of the Bahrain Health and Safety Society, Dr. Mustafa Al-Sayed, has lauded winning of the Interior Minister, Lieutenant-General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, of the Personality of the Year Award and his honouring by the US-based Drug Abuse Resistance Education (D.A.R.E. International) in recognition of the successes of the anti-violence and anti-addiction programme, Ma'an (Together) Programme, which is implemented by the Ministry of Interior across Bahraini schools. Dr. Al-Sayed expressed, on behalf of the Bahrain Health and Safety Society’s affiliates, sincere congratulations to the Interior Minister on the international honouring, which, he said, reflects the efforts exerted by the Interior Ministry to combat criminality through the Ma'an (Together) Programme. He asserted that the prestigious award reflects Bahrain’s civilisaed image, distinguished international status and landmark achievements attained during His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa’s prosperous era. He stressed that the Interior Minister deserves the honouring of which, he said, all the citizens and residents are proud.
