Bahrain's Interior Minister congratulated on Personality of the Year Award

Manama, Dec. 2 (BNA): Chief Executive of the Information and eGovernment Authority Mohammed Ali Al Qaed congratulated Interior Minister Lieutenant General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa on receiving the Personality of the Year Award 2018 and being honoured by the US-based Drug Abuse Resistance Education (D.A.R.E. International). He described the honour as an international recognition of the Interior Minister's efforts to boost social security, protect youngsters from bad habits and combat violence and addiction. Al Qaed praised the Interior Ministry's efforts to maintain the kingdom's security and stability and foster citizens' commitment to their inherent values. He stressed the efficiency of the ministry's programmes in protecting the youth from violence and drug abuse, pointing out success of "Ma'an" programme in this respect.
