Bahrain's Interior Minister congratulated by UNIDO

Manama, Nov. 30 (BNA): Head of the Investment Promotion Office of the United Nations Industrial Development Organisation (UNIDO) Dr, Hashem Hussain extended heartfelt congratulations to Interior Minister Lieutenant General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa on receiving the Personality of the Year Award 2018 and being honoured by the US-based Drug Abuse Resistance Education (D.A.R.E. International). He described the honour as a top-profile international recognition of Bahrain’s comprehensive growth which is based on inherent values and principles under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa. He said the honour reflects the tremendous efforts of the Interior Minister in combating crimes, violence and addiction. He praised “Ma’an” programme which is carried out by the Interior Ministry at Bahrain schools to protect the youth from drug abuse and addiction.
