Bahrain's Justice Minister receives Saudi judiciary delegation

Manama, Oct. 1 (BNA): Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments Minister Shaikh Khalid bin Ali Al Khalifa today received a Saudi delegation headed by Dr. Abdul Hadi bin Ali Al Khudair, Adviser in the Saudi Justice Minister’s Office and Chairman of the Supreme Judiciary Council. Undersecretary for Judicial Affairs Wael Rasheed Buallai and several officials from the ministry were present during the meeting. The minister praised the advanced level of the strong fraternal ties between the two countries’ leaderships and people in all fields. The two sides explored various aspects of cooperation especially pertaining to the labour courts. The minister reaffirmed the importance of mutual visits and meetings in boosting the expertise in the field of training and development. The minister reviewed Bahrain’s modernization initiatives and projects mainly establishment of the Family Courts Complex, issuance of the Penal Code and Alternative Measures, Restructuring and Bankruptcy Law, introduction of the Special Notary, upgrading legal procedures and boosting the efficiency of the Courts Computerisation Scheme aimed to accelerate the litigation procedures, and launching a vast array of online judiciary services. The minister gave a detailed overview regarding the Labour and Civil Lawsuits Directorate models application considered as an essential development to accelerate the completion of court cases in shortest span, with least effort and high efficacy in the litigation procedures.
