Bahrain's religious co-existence, tolerance praised

Manama, Oct. 25 (BNA): Capital Governor, Shaikh Hisham bin Abdulrahman Al Khalifa, has stressed the importance of culture, art and heritage in building societies and consolidating their identity, humanitarian features and civilisation, noting that investment in such sectors will project the kingdom's image to the world.
The governor made the comments after making a tour in Manama, alongside India’s Union Minister for Home Affairs, Shri Rajnath Singh, who arrived here today on an official visit to Bahrain.
The Indian minister visited Bab Al-Bahrain, the Hindu Temple and the Bahrain National Museum. He was informed about Bahrain's rich human and civilisational heritage, as well as the existing harmony and co-existence among various religions.
The governor asserted that Manama is proud of opening broader horizons of cooperation and coordination with India, praising friendly India's economic, cultural and artistic strides.
He affirmed that the capital, Manama, boasts many economic, civilisational and touristic features that reflect Bahrain's genuine values, noting that the Kingdom is role model for real tolerance among religions.
The Indian minister expressed sincere thanks and appreciation to the Capital Governor, lauding the long-standing solid relations between the two friendly countries, which, he said, are progressing steadily.
