Bahrain's Southern Municipality celebrates national days

Manama, (BNA): The Southern Municipality held a ceremony this evening as part of festivities marking the Kingdom of Bahrain's national celebrations on 16 and 17 December, in commemoration of the establishment of the modern Bahraini state as an Arab and Muslim country founded by Ahmed Al-Fateh in 1783, the 47th anniversary of its full membership in the United Nations, and the 19th anniversary of His Majesty's accession to the throne. Works, Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning Minister Essam bin Abdulla Khalaf patronized the celebratory event, being held under the theme "Together in Love of the Homeland". The Undersecretary Dr. Nabeel Abul Fateh and Southern Municipality director-general Asem Abdullatif and senior officials attended the ceremony, which was held at the Khalifa Grand Park. The minister congratulated His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa, His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Premier, as well as the government and people of Bahrain. He hailed the street lightings and decorations which were set up following directives from the Southern Governor His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali bin Khalifa Al-Khalifa. The Undersecretary Dr. Nabeel Abul Fateh and Southern Municipality director-general Asem Abdullatif also extended congratulations to HM the King, HRH the Premier and HRH the Crown Prince, hailing Bahrain’s landmark development strides in the prosperous era of HM the King.
