Bahrain's Speaker receives South Korean ambassador

Manama, Jan. 9 (BNA): Representatives Council Speaker Fawzia bint Abdullah Zainal received today South Korean Ambassador to Bahrain Koo Hyunmo. She stressed Bahrain's keenness on boosting cooperation with South Korea, praising the advanced level of bilateral relations of more than forty years. She pointed out that the first trip between South Korea and the Middle East was to Bahrain which means that the kingdom was the gateway for the South Korean nationals into the Middle East. She also pointed out the prospective visit of the Head of the South Korean National Association's Bahrain-Korea Friendship Committee by end of this month. She underlined the significance of the visit to discuss coordination at the Asian and international parliamentary meetings regarding issues of common concern. The South Korean ambassador lauded growing bilateral relations, praising the role of the Representatives Council in bolstering parliamentary cooperation between both countries and stressing his country's keenness to enhance cooperation with Bahrain.
