BDF commander-in-chief offers condolences over late Sultan of Oman

Manama, Jan.12 (BNA): Commander-in-Chief of the Bahrain Defence Force (BDF), Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, today paid a visit to the Embassy of Oman here, where he was welcomed by the Deputy Chief of Mission, Dr. Mohammed Al-Balushi, and Embassy’s officials. The commander-in-chief offered condolences over the demise of HM Sultan Qaboos bin Said of Oman, praying to Allah the Almighty to rest his soul in eternal peace, and to bless the Royal family and the brotherly Omani people with patience and fortitude. He recalled the key role played by the bereaved in enhancing his country’s renaissance, praising his wise honourable supportive stances towards the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC)’s march, as well as those of the Arab and Islamic nations. The BDF Commander-in-Chief was accompanied by Defence Affairs Minister, Lieutenant-General Abdulla bin Hassan Al-Nuaimi, Defence Ministry’s Undersecretary, Rear Admiral Shaikh Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, BDF General Command Court Director, Major-General Hassan Mohammed Saad, Assistant Chief of Staff for Supply and Catering, Rear Admiral Yussef Ahmed Malallah, and senior BDF officers.
